PlayStation | Death Stranding

Humans live off connections, whether physical or digital. Without others, we are nothing. That’s why it’s utterly important to get in touch with those who got disconnected.

For the launch of Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima’s outstanding new masterpiece, we did exactly that: we found a way to reconnect abandoned, lost, and forgotten Italian places.

With the help of a team of influencers, we issued a call to arms to all Italian gamersWe asked them to point out forgotten Italian towns to reconnect, by telling their stories, just like what we did with the ones we selected. Between all the towns suggested by gamers, we chose one that became the subject of the last video reportage of the campaign.

{ Calcata } • The 1st stop is in this gorgeous town 1h drive from Rome. They had given this town to die for. They were ready and knocked it down because they thought the rock wouldn’t hold up over time. But they were wrong..It became a ghost town, but today, this magical place is reliving a new life, thanks to some artists who have gone there to live. { Vajont } • The great challenge of this valley is looking at the future, without forgetting the past. Today the community is small and seems isolated from what happens out there.
I explored this valley, which must be rediscovered, because it is full of interesting paths to take, in silence, listening to Nature. . I’m around Italy as always, this time with @playstationit for #DeathStranding looking for small communities to reconnect with the rest of the World.

{ Pentedattilo } • I Went down to Calabria to look and explore this small empty jewel. Spent two nights alone here, to feel the vibes of this ghost town. There is just a 13 years-old black cat who lives here. Less then 10 mins from the coast, 30 mins from Reggio Calabria, it’s unbelievable people left their hometown in the last Century. The good news is that a slow but new rebirth is waiting for him, also thanks to Art through its Film Festival.
